Well, that’s a complicated question, but here is our answer.

Most other telehealth platforms simply look at estrogen and testosterone levels to determine whether or not a client is the right fit—but it’s not so cut and dry.

The ranges we have for hormone health change between labs, but they’re also largely arbitrary and don’t paint the whole picture of what’s going on.

Our bodies vary from person to person, which means symptoms and “optimal” hormone levels do too.

Some people have markers suggesting they’re in desperate need of hormone replacement, yet they show no classic signs like fatigue, anxiety, or low libido. Others have impeccable markers suggesting that everything is fine, yet they’re experiencing all the symptoms associated with hormone imbalances.

That’s why the main Revolution Rx packages come with a provider consultation: not just to prescribe your hormone therapy, but to make sure that your body is aligning with what the labs are saying.

It’s possible that you’re experiencing a thyroid issue or maybe you’re vitamin B12 deficient—but ultimately, we won’t find out until we dig deeper and look at your overall health versus just your hormone levels.

That being the case, we strongly recommend scheduling a consultation with our team to assess baseline diagnostic lab work and consult with one of our partnered medical providers.

Once you’ve got your lab work, they’ll be able to determine whether or not you’re eligible for TRT/HRT based on your lab markers, health history, symptoms, and goals.

At Revolution Rx, we know you’re eager to receive your lab results and move forward on your health journey. Depending on the complexity of the panel you’re having drawn, the turnaround time for results can vary. Typically, we see a 5-7+ day turnaround for basic panels and 10-14+ days for comprehensive panels.

Many of the tests included in our panels utilize advanced testing methodologies that take time to process accurately. This thorough approach ensures that we provide you with the most accurate and insightful results possible.

While we understand the anticipation, it’s crucial to maintain the highest standard of care. Substituting with cheaper or quicker tests might speed up the process, but they wouldn’t meet the rigorous standards we uphold at Revolution Rx.

Rest assured, we continually explore new testing methodologies as they become available to ensure we are always offering the best solutions to our clients. Thank you for your patience as we work to deliver the comprehensive, precise results that you deserve.

Revolution Rx does not communicate with health insurance companies for any of our services; even though the overall health of our clients is tremendously enhanced and they experience a better quality of life. Many health insurance providers don’t see it this way and consider our services elective.

Many customers have had success using FSA or HSA means of payment. Revolution Rx can provide copies of invoices and lab requisitions as needed. Because we are direct pay, and do not seek reimbursement from insurance providers, we cannot provide procedure codes (CPT) or diagnostic codes (ICD-10).

If you do not have a primary care physician (PCP) you can get a physical by a MD, DO, PA, NP credentialed provider at an urgent care clinic or similar setting. 

We may even be able to assist finding you, discuss this with your patient care coordinator during your intake or doctor consultation. 

Revolution Rx’s guided optimization process includes thorough diagnostics that go far beyond what is typically included in an annual check-up with your PCP. Our team creates a customized lab panel based on your individual physiology. We believe in comprehensive testing and accurate results, specifically seeking out high-sensitivity and the most up-to-date testing methods. The detailed results of this extensive testing, combined with one-on-one counseling with our medical providers, are used to develop a comprehensive lab report and your customized treatment plan.

To begin the guided optimization process, we require, at a minimum, the basic or comprehensive male/female panel that we typically order for our Revolution Rx patients. We will only accept lab results if they match the exact extensive lab panel we normally order.

We require all clients at Revolution Rx to complete thorough diagnostic lab work at least every 3-6 months.

We accept physical exams that were completed within the last 3 months from your application date. Keep in mind, we require physical exams at 12-month intervals. If you apply with a physical exam that was done 6 months ago, you will be required to get another physical done in 6 months when your 12-month period has expired for that physical.
